MONTAÑITA

Throughout the year, Montañita hosts various surf-related competitions and celebrations, reinforcing its position as the surf capital of Ecuador and one of the main destinations in Latin America.

Among the most prominent events are the La Punta Classic, a competition that brings together national and international surfers, and the National Surf Championships, which consolidate the town as a central stage for competitive surfing in the country. At the training and sports promotion level, Children's Surf Championships are also held, encouraging new generations and strengthening the local community around surf culture.
