Ribamontán al Mar features:

  • 9 surf houses

  • 8 surf shops

  • 2 surfboard workshops

  • 5 surf clubs

Since 2009, the municipality has had its own institutional brand: “ Ribamontán al Mar : Surf a Toda Costa”, aimed at promoting the local surfing industry and identity.

The Cantabrian Surf Federation, based at the Somo Surf Center, is considered an international model of competitive organization.
