FIRST AID TRAINING
The "Lobos del Sur" First Aid School, founded on April 21, 2018 by Edgar Javier Guevara Castro, has graduated 9 classes of first responders, most of whom work in Spain, 1 class in backboard rescue, and 1 class in basic rescue apnea.
LOCAL ART AND CULTURE
We feature local artists who create their works and crafts using recyclable materials and local resources, with a focus on sustainability and raising awareness about plastic pollution in the sea. Among them are: Alice Poirier, Mauro Canella, Alexandra Grau, Jessica Zeballos, Esther Tiravanti, Rocio Osores, Cecilia Salinas, Carlos Vasquez, Roxana Cabieces, and Milagritos Vasquez. Painters include Willy Hermosa and Carlos Ahumada. In urban art, we have Koa, Omar Gargiulo, and artists from [information missing in the original text].
As local photographers, we have Manolo Cueva and Carlos Arata, Gino Bello, and Renzo Melgarejo. These artists present their works in traveling exhibitions as part of a cultural program organized by the city council.
San Bartolo has a mystique that leads artists from different disciplines to decide to live permanently in the district, providing them with inspiration for their creations.
CULTURAL INITIATIVES
San Bartolo features local initiatives, with collective exhibitions and fairs held in public spaces, promoting cultural expressions.
“Saber y sentir” is a project by Lucytania Bazan that creates a catalog of local birds with children from CASA GENERACIÓN. The young artists intervene in public spaces for educational and cultural purposes, generating local identity through research and drawing.
Sponsorship was provided for surfing championships held on the beaches of the district: The “5th date of the Semillero de Olas Perú Circuit in San Bartolo , Pro Tour 2023”, the “Ohana Surf Festival CHRISTIAN SURFERS PERÚ” and the “Triple Corona BIGHEAD Championship”.
