MONTAÑITA

Montañita has established itself as one of the main tourist destinations on the Ecuadorian coast, recognized both for its cultural diversity and its ability to reinvent its offerings. The town has become a hub of gastronomic innovation, with restaurants of different styles and themes that focus on quality and the proper handling of products.

Innovation also extends to the management of tourist security: in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, training projects in security and accommodation protocols were implemented for the police forces, a model that was later replicated in other destinations in the country.

The growth of surfing has spurred new areas of development, including nightlife tourism, which attracts private investment and promotes large-scale events featuring international DJs.

At the same time, Montañita invests in innovation directly linked to surfing: personalized lessons and training for different levels, initiatives to protect the waves and beach access, as well as coastal recovery studies. One of the central objectives is to safeguard Punta de Montañita, an icon of national surfing, which is currently threatened by erosion.
