MATOSINHO WORLD'S BEST FISH (MWBF)
O Matosinhos World's Best Fish (MWBF) é um evento âncora no calendário cultural do concelho, celebrando o profundo legado marítimo e gastronómico da cidade. O festival, de periodicidade anual, visa promover a excelência do peixe e dos produtos do mar locais, reconhecidos internacionalmente pela sua qualidade. O evento não só oferece experiências gastronómicas de alto nível, incluindo showcookings e provas, mas também enfatiza o compromisso de Matosinhos com as práticas de pesca sustentável e a preservação da identidade piscatória da comunidade. O MWBF atrai anualmente milhares de visitantes, reforçando a ligação intrínseca de Matosinhos ao Oceano Atlântico.
PORTO & MATOSINHOS WAVE SERIES
The sporting component is focused on the Porto & Matosinhos Wave Series, a competitive circuit that consolidates the city's position as a competitive surfing center in Northern Portugal. This circuit brings together high-level events, including surfing and bodyboarding competitions, extending to a national and international scope. The main objective is to foster the sporting development and high performance of athletes, providing them with opportunities for excellent competition in local waves and reinforcing the prestige of the Matosinhos coast in the wave sports scene.
