Strengthening the World Surfing Reserve (WSR) status : Promoting knowledge sharing on coastal reserve management models to ensure the environmental and cultural protection of its waves and surrounding ecosystems (such as totora reed swamps).
Sustainable Economic Development : Utilize surfing as an economic catalyst to support local businesses and fishing communities, ensuring that the benefits of tourism and the surf industry are redistributed equitably among the local population.
Cultural and Scientific Preservation : To ensure the continuity of the "caballito de totora" tradition through conservation and research programs, integrating its manufacture and use into the tourism experience in a sustainable and educational way.
