CAR SURF - HIGH PERFORMANCE SURF CENTER
The first High Performance Center (CAR) for surfers in Europe open to the public is located on Cabedelo Beach in Viana do Castelo . This state-of-the-art infrastructure combines training, accommodation, and wellness to support surfers, tourists, and athletes.
Capacity and Facilities:
Accommodation for 30 people.
3 training rooms, 3 administrative offices and a meeting room.
Gym, sauna, massage room, dining room, kitchen and medical post.
Full connectivity: telephone network, Wi-Fi and cable television.
Activities and Programs:
Ongoing training activities with approximately 1,500 students per year.
Collaboration with local schools and the Erasmus program.
Specialized training programs for international surfing teams.
We receive approximately 2,000 surf tourists per year.
Impact
Through its initiatives, the Viana Surf Club strengthens the local surfing community, supports the development of talent, promotes the preservation of the coastal environment, and projects Viana do Castelo as a world-class surfing destination.
