To implement global best practices to maintain and enhance its ecotourism status, particularly through Costa Rica's Ecological Blue Flag Program for beaches and communities.Local Industry Development:
To promote the creation of SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) in the surf sector (schools, shapers, surf camps) that operate in accordance with the country's strict environmental standards.Coastal Management:
Develop beach management models that balance the intensive use of popular beach breaks, such as Jaco, with the conservation of surrounding mangrove and marine ecosystems.
