El Alto is committed to training and capacity building as fundamental pillars for the sustainable development of surfing. The city promotes surfing instruction with a focus on safety, respect for the waves and knowledge of the ocean, valuing the transmission of local knowledge and responsible practice.

 

There is interest in developing training programmes for young people, coaches and technicians, as well as in creating opportunities for exchange and cooperation with other cities and institutions linked to surfing, reinforcing technical, educational and organisational skills.
