Montañita has held workshops focused on looking after the beaches in Ecuador.

MONTAÑITA | The city of Montañita and the Mingas organisation for the sea have held workshops focused on looking after the beaches in Ecuador. Students from the state university of Quevedo participated in the workshops. This project aims to educate the community on the amount of rubbish that is found on beaches in Ecuador and generate a change of awareness in which we understand how the pollution of our beaches affect so that we take responsibility for this problem.

The surf city certification

LACANAU | Lacanau manifests its pioneering role of surf city, first with the national recognition by the French Surfing Federation in 2015, and now becoming member of the World Surf Cities Network. During a famous competition called « Lacanau Pro » in 2015, Laurent Peyrondet, Mayor of Lacanau, President of the Médoc Atlantique Tourism Office, was awarded the very first Surf City certification by Jean-Luc Arassus, President of the Fédération Française de Surf (French Surfing Federation).

Coast’s biggest coastal project underway

GOLD COAST | Gold Coast launched a project of an artificial reef with the main mission of promote a long term increase in sand along vulnerable sections of Palm Beach, and this will provide a protective buffer from erosion. The artificial reef will also consolidate a new surf break for surfers.

Cómo Snapper Rocks se convirtió en Superbank

Mick Fanning (AUS) irrumpió en la escena del surf profesional. Con 20 años de edad era novato en el Campeonato Mundial.
